On-Ramp Wireless strategic vision is to develop an ecosystem of partners that cover every aspect of the Smart Grid such as industrial device and sensor monitoring, and location services. To support development and certification efforts, several networks have been installed, including a European test and certification network in Ireland. The network covers several hundred square miles in downtown and suburban Dublin, as well as a rural area outside Dublin. Other partners are also installing test and development networks to support further device development.

SEL WSO-11 Wireless Sensor for Overhead Lines
The SEL WSO-11 Wireless Sensor for Overhead Lines is a distribution automation sensor that stores load and temperature data, and monitors the distribution line for loss of current or fault events. The sensor transmits reports through the integrated On-Ramp radio.

KONČAR KONWPT
The wireless pressure transmitter KONWPT is part of the wireless pipeline pressure monitoring system. The KONWPT is a battery powered autonomous unit for pipeline pressure measurement. Measuring data is sent over a 2.4 GHz wireless radio link to the Access Point. APs collect measured data from KONWPTs, and send it through the Modbus Gateway to the pipeline monitoring center.
