Product Overview

The On-Ramp Wireless Ultra-Link Processingâ„¢ system provides an end-to-end wireless device communication system. The system consists of the following major components:

• ULP eNode and ULP microNode: Wireless modules integrated with endpoint devices.
• ULP Access Points: The only network infrastructure equipment that installs in the intended service area.
• ULP Gateway: Connects to Access Points, and provides network coordination and data integrity.
• ULP Network/Element Management System.
• Utility Headend/Critical Infrastructure Monitoring Application (CIMA): Database application with optional web-based user interface.

The extensive range and capacity provided by ULP, allows customers to implement simple and reliable wireless network architectures capable of covering millions of devices with minimal infrastructure. In fact, a single Access Point can replace several hundred gateways used in competing systems, resulting in lower upfront capital cost and a simpler, more reliable network. With its industry leading wide-area deployment capabilities, the ULP system enables monitoring and control in a host of new applications with substantially lower Total Cost of Ownership compared to competing solutions.
