microNode

Small and ultra-power efficient module for Smart Grid and other device applications

Smart Grid MicroNode

The On-Ramp Wireless ULP microNode provides unprecedented range and robustness for wireless sensing applications in a small package. Optimized for low-power applications requiring multi-year battery life, the On-Ramp Wireless microNode, sets a new standard for wireless networking performance, system cost, and flexibility.

On-Ramp Wireless’ Ultra-Link Processing™ (ULP) technology offers a 25× range advantage over competing solutions, equating to a more than 600× advantage in coverage. This means that ULP is the first system using extremely low-power technology to provide metro-scale networking in the unlicensed ISM-bands. ULP also provides a 25× network capacity advantage, which substantially lowers network infrastructure cost per square mile of coverage.

The microNode’s open, standard interface provides easy integration with a variety of customer devices in need of a high performance wireless module optimized for size and power consumption.
