Hospitals and other critical care facilities have become a hotbed of wireless activity in recent years. A plethora of equipment such as laptops, PDAs, VoIP phones, and critical medical devices compete for bandwidth on overloaded WiFi networks. However, these WiFi networks were not designed to support many of these applications and often cannot reliably connect devices or ensure the timely delivery of critical data.
