Field Network Engineer - wireless solutions

• Develop deployment best practices and techniques to enable customers to efficiently deploy Ultra-Link Processing™ based wireless sensor networks
• Support customers wireless deployments by conducting site surveys, wireless network system design, deployment and troubleshooting
• Develop procedures, checklists and other tools to facilitate wireless system deployment planning and execution
• Support customers by recommending antenna selection to maximize performance of the system while meeting regional certification requirements (FCC, IC, ETSI, etc.)
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations and project status updates
• Work with customer IT department to define security and networking for back-office equipment including Gateway Controller, Oracle Database, and NMS.
• International travel to support On-Ramp’s global customers.
• Work with Engineering to support wireless system coverage and performance modeling and testing

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree
• Experience with RF network optimization and capacity planning
• Knowledge of Radio Propagation and Predication Models
• Experience with Site Surveys
• Experience with Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum desired. 
• Familiarity with backhaul, SNMP, Oracle, and IP Networking design.
• Must be a self-motivated, organized and strong communicator
• Ability to work effectively with customers to develop plans and projects goals with strong focus and track record on achieving project goals and milestones
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced start-up environment
