Defines, designs, implements, and maintains manufacturing automated test equipment, test strategies, and test specifications, and test software for On-Ramp’s products. Manufacturing test environment will be maintained at On-Ramp and mirrored at contract manufacturer (in Asia). Selects test equipment capable of implementing the tests. Ability to maintain existing manufacturing test software and develop new software (currently written in Python) to interface with selected test equipment and execute required manufacturing tests. Troubleshoots product and test equipment and qualifies test process and equipment. Completes test specifications and procedures for new products.
- Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of RF and electrical test equipment including signal generators, power meters, spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Must be able to read and correlate schematic diagrams with layout drawings and understand the operation of an electrical circuit from its schematic diagram.
- Gathers information from drawings, specifications and RF and electrical design engineers necessary to develop tests and documentation.
- Defines all test requirements and differentiates design verification, reliability, in-circuit-testing and functional testing.
- Write test procedures and test software
- Work with design engineers to establish test limits and understand
- Demonstrates the test equipment and process meets the requirements through validation testing.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes data and prepares presentation of results for review.
- Compiles test data to demonstrate the test equipment built meets the specified requirements.
- Review manufacturing data and perform test time reductions and process improvements.
- Implement solutions with contract manufacturer while ramping production.
- Document solutions in document control system.
