JOB DESCRIPTION:

Be the customers champion; lead all systems and technical aspects of pre-design win activities for On-Ramps new, disruptive product offerings. Reporting to the Director of Applications, work very close with Engineering, Business Development and Marketing on customer systems and deployment scenarios. Together with Engineering specify and develop On-Ramp's next generation product demos, evaluation and development kits. Ensure your work is reusable utilizing either knowledge based systems, documentation, and/or other formats. This job will require travel, including international and will incorporate classical FAE functions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

BSEE/BSCS, preferably a MSEE/MSCS or related degree and 5+ years minimum practical experience in field or factory applications, systems engineering or customer solutions in semiconductor and/or wireless systems companies. The ideal candidate will have technical experience and knowledge in several of the following areas:

Protocol Stack knowledge for one or more of the following wireless LAN/PAN technologies: 802.15.4 protocols, ZigBee, proprietary sensor networking protocols, WLAN, Bluetooth
API / GUI understanding and successful implementation
Systems analysis hardware/software and debug experience: JTAG, ICE, Lauterbach
Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum / DSSS
Device Driver SW for standard and custom HW
Security Protocols Encryption and Authentication, specifically AES and ECC
Knowledge of one or more Embedded Processors that are commonly used in wireless devices such as ARM, X-Scale, OMAP, ARC etc.
Sensor / sensor systems / sensor interface and deployment experience
Knowledge of Meshed Sensor Networks like Dust, Mote, MoteWorks, ION System, MeshNetics
Standards activity knowledge: Wireless HART, ISA 100, ZigBee, 802.15.4
Host Interfaces: SDIO, USB, PCI, Mini PCI, Card Bus, Compact Flash, IEEE 1394
