JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develop Wireless MAC and PHY software for On-Ramp’s ‘Ultra-Link Processing technology’ based product offerings. Participate in all phases of the software development cycle. Work with hardware, systems, and test teams to develop quality products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

BSEE/BSCS, preferably a MSEE/MSCS or related degree and 3+ years of practical experience in the field of embedded software development in wireless industry or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have technical experience and knowledge in several of the following areas:

C, C++ programming experience, and good understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Experience in writing device drivers and kernel modules.
Knowledge of Wireless MAC & PHY.
Knowledge of Security highly desired.
Demonstrated experience in TCP/IP protocols.
Experience in SNMP, SQlite, XML is desirable.
Experienced with at least one RTOS. [ThreadX, eCos, VxWorks].
Experience in Embedded Linux, at least 1 distribution is needed.
Protocol Stack knowledge for one or more of the following wireless LAN/PAN technologies: 802.15.4 protocols, ZigBee, proprietary sensor networking protocols, WLAN, Bluetooth is desirable.
Systems analysis hardware/software and debug experience: JTAG, ICE.
Knowledge of one or more Embedded Processors that are commonly used in wireless devices such as ARM, PowerPC.

OTHERS

A can do attitude and willingness to step in to any role as needed by the team including test, and support.
Must be a good team player and be able to handle pressure in a fast-moving environment.
