Project Engineer

Job Description

The Project Engineer is the primary technical point of contact for customer engagements. The PE is the liaison between core engineering and project management for customer projects. Typical project tasks may include developing data models for end-applications, providing requirement interpretation and project feedback to the design engineering teams, enabling new customers to integrate ULP technology HW/SW into end point sensor devices, performing initial end to end system test of new applications, and leading field trials or initial production deployments of newly developed applications. The qualified candidate will have a thorough understanding of product and software development roadmaps and will manage customer to requirements to dovetail with ORW delivery capabilities. Further, the Project Engineer is ultimately responsible for managing all technical aspects of customer management through commercial deployment and network acceptance. Must be able to travel up to 50%.

Job Details

• A BSEE and 7-10 years’ applicable experience is required. An MS degree is preferred.
• Wireless Experience that may include knowledge of Radio Propagation and Predication Models.
• Familiarity with backhaul, SNMP, Oracle, Linux and IP Networking design.
• Must be self-motivated, organized and a strong communicator.
• Ability to work effectively with customers to develop plans and project goals with a strong focus and track record of achievement is required.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced start-up environment is necessary.
• Past experience as a Systems/HW/ or SW designer and/or knowledge of Utility Industry is a plus.
